Omg the stuffed artichoke and fish tacos here are Devine. We came when it was very busy but managed to get a seat quickly. We stopped at the bar first and were able to get some drinks from an awesome and quick bar tender. Our party visited 3 times in our 4 day vacation to Sonoma so you could say we liked it. The bathrooms are very nice and clean and it wasn’t a super far walk from the square if you are hoping to avoid an Uber.

Visited a few days ago and was met by pleasant host and waiter. We were seated promptly. We tried the Korean cauliflower, tacos, and samosas. The Korean cauliflower was my favorite, followed by the samosas. The tacos were ok and mine were on the dry side...the samosas were fried and not baked-I prefer mine baked/traditional style. Our waiter was really helpful and upbeat. We were in and out within 45-55 minutes. I enjoyed our meal just would have tried the wings instead of tacos..I enjoyed the live music the most..

I have to dock one star for my burger. I wasn't too keen on the tomato relish, which tasted too much like stewed tomatoes for a burger, but mainly the beautiful thick pieces of bacon adorning it arrived very lightly cooked and limp. They would have been very good fully cooked and browned.

A very nice space for an evening out. We had a large group (15) and were seated in the garden. The tables were long and very narrow which made eating dinner a bit cramped. Otherwise the atmosphere was nice. Drinks too a while to arrive and some were wrong. I received my appetizer after my dinner was delivered. The food delivery was spotty at best. Maybe an extra server to assist would have made the service smoother. I had the fish and chips. Well made and typical. Nothing to write home about but tasty. Overall a good experience and possibly a place to revisit next time we are in Sonoma.

I was seated with a party of 10 very quickly.I ordered pretzels with cheese as an appetizer, Nashville Chicken sandwich and also tried the chicken piccata. All were decent but quite pricey although it is Sonoma afterall. All in all the experience was great and I would definitely return. Especially for the outdoor seating.

This HopMonk location is a favorite. Service is always excellent and helpful.This afternoon I had the Ruben sandwich. Thinly sliced pastrami on toasted rye bread with sauerkraut and a special house-made sauce that was nicely balanced with a fresh, crisp dill pickle. To swish all these flavors together, I had a seasonal cocktail to drink. “Drunken Punch” made with bourbon and fresh pumpkin purée. Wow! It was yummy and I’m not a fan of pumpkin latte or pumpkin cookies. It wasn’t too sweet, just very flavorful. For dessert I had the bread pudding with an Irish Coffee made with bourbon and fresh whipped cream. Very satisfying! While Sonoma has bars and pubs, this HopMonk is the best in town. I recommend sitting outside on the deck or in the garden patio, especially on a sunny day. Plenty of parking, easy to walk to from the historic plaza. Families are welcome and that includes the canine member of the family.

We had the Hopmonk burger, cooked perfectly medium. We also shared the 4 tacos, two beer battered fried fish and two carnitas. The fish were good, but the carnitas were incredibly dry. Overall, good place with great beer and decent food. Stick to the burgers.

Apparently not. However, he told me that HopMonk shares product with Gordon Biersch...so I'll have to research on that one. Their IPA was quite drinkable. Thanks HopMonk!

They have a nice enclosed patio where you can sit at a table with shade and enjoy a nice collection of local beer favorites, alongside some well executed California pub food. We ordered the fish and chips, mixed tacos, and shrimp pasta. The fish and chips were delicious, with waffle cut sweet potato as our option. The pasta was similarly tasty and well seasoned, while the shrimp were still tender and not over cooked. The tacos were great too, tho I found the carnitas style taco a little dry, maybe could use a bit more sauce.The beer selection was nice, with a couple of the restaurant's own brews, and a variety of local favorites. Most of these beers you can find in grocery stores throughout the Bay Area so it's not exactly a tasters paradise, but you'll easily spot something you will enjoy.Overall a great place to stop for lunch when seeing the sights around Sonoma. Especially if you like the atmosphere of a casual California style beer garden/pub.

The artichokes were superb to the extent of the word. I had a beer flight and I really enjoyed the variety that was served. I definitely had my favorites among the four. Small sliders, but really filling. The fries that accompanied the slider are deliciously crispy. The soft pretzels were beautifully presented and were perfect for dipping. You've got to try it. On top of it all, Wednesday night was open mic. Some great local talent. Come and visit; I will be back.
